The Twins and Rays have pulled the trigger on a deal that had long been rumored to be in the works. The final deal ended up like this:

The Twins Get:

  • Delmon Young (OF)
  • Brendan Harris (SS)
  • Jason Pridie (minor league - OF)

The Rays Get:

  • Matt Garza (SP)
  • Jason Bartlett (SS)
  • Eduardo Morlan (minor league - P)

Analysis:

The deal gives the Twins the bat they needed to replace recently departed Tori Hunter and gives the Rays another solid young starter to pair with Scott Kazmir and James Shields.
