Mitchell Report Due: Clemens and Petite expected to be named

Of course today's big news will be the release of the Mitchell Report. And rumors are flying ahead of the release. Several sources, including the NYT are saying the report will name Yankee pitchers Roger Clemens and Andy Petite as steroid users based upon testimony of trainer, Brian McNamee. Additional Yankees are also expected to be named.

Indications are that the report will be highly critical of the Commissioner's Office and the Players Union which might prove Mitchell's independence but will likely only fuel anger among fans, especially if baseball issues only mild penalties and the Players Union challenges them as expected.
