Several sources in Chicago are reporting that Japanese star outfielder Kosuke Fukudome and the Chicago Cubs have reached an agreement on a 4 year deal. The sources say the deal is worth between $12-14 million per year but those details have not been finalized. I’m guessing the deal will end up being very close to the $50 million total value we reported earlier. It will certainly be interesting to watch how the outfielder’s stats translate in the majors and if nothing else, should provide plenty of off color chants by Cardinals and White Sox fans.
