Posted by RumorMill as Milwaukee Brewers Rumors, New York Mets Rumors
I was rereading an article from the past week and noticed a little nugget I hadn't paid much attention to before. A newsday.com article about the Mets looking for a front line starter claimed that "the Brewers could seriously contemplate a Sheets deal." Now I realize Sheets has spent as much time on the DL as he has on the mound in recent years but there are few pitchers out there that could compare when big Ben is on his game. The article goes on to say that the Brew Crew needs help in it's bullpen and that's actually a commodity that several teams have available. While Sheets has only one more year on his contract, I just find it difficult to imagine the Brewers trading the player that has been the face of the franchise for the past several years. That being said, it looks like this year's trade market is wide open and some BIG names could be changing jerseys.
