SI.com and several other sources are reporting that Tom Glavine has accepted an $8 million, one-year deal to return to Atlanta where he plans to end his career. The formal announcement will come at a news conference this afternoon.

The Atlanta Journal Constitution has Tom Glavine almost ready to sign a deal to return to the Braves. After opting out of his $13 million dollar option with the Mets, Glavine is reportedly ready to accept about $6 million less to return home to Atlanta and rejoin buddies John Schmolz, Chippr Jones and Bobby Cox.

The Atlanta Constitution-Journal is reporting that the Braves have traded reliever Oscar Villareal to Houston for outfielder Josh Anderson. Anderson spent most of last year in Triple-A batting .273 and stealing 41 bases. Villareal appeared in 51 games for the Braves and had a ERA of 4.24.
